Art and Music for Homeschooled Students (Please click the link to your right to register)
We are happy to offer a class designed to fulfill the art and music requirements for parents that are homeschooling their children. This weekly class will consist of one hour of art and one hour of music, back-to-back, for ages 5 through 16. Students will be separated into two groups according to their ages.
The art portion of the program shall include instruction in drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, printmaking, and art history. Topics covered will include composition, color theory, perspective, drawing from life, use of materials, and technique. Students will be taught by teacher demonstrations and through individual help. All art supplies are included.
The music portion will include ear training, rhythm basics, music theory, music literacy, basic piano, and music history. Activities will include drumming, singing, movement, listening, hand bells, music learning games, piano, and other activities designed to aid in learning.
Classes will meet once per week for two hours (one hour of music, one hour of art). The program runs from September 10 through December 17 on Tuesdays from 10:00 am - Noon (total of fifteen 2-hour sessions).
$350 for all fifteen 2-hour sessions (includes all materials) if paid for in full by 9/10/19
If paying monthly: $25 per 2-hour session for the number of sessions in that month - due at the first class of each month (includes all materials)
Pay by week or drop-in: $32 per 2-hour session (includes materials) Please call by the Monday of the week you plan to drop-in to confirm that space is available for your child.
