Renaissance Kids, Inc. was founded on the belief that every child gains educational and personal benefits from studying art and music. What makes Renaissance Kids unique is our holistic approach, providing students with the opportunity to explore a wide range of musical and artistic activities all in one place.

At Renaissance Kids, our goal is twofold:

Nurture each child's personal growth by cultivating an appreciation and understanding of the arts.
Provide an "art experience" that serves as both a powerful learning tool and a means of positive self-expression.

We believe that the cognitive processes involved in creating art and music have a profound impact on overall learning, enhancing children's ability to study, concentrate, and solve problems. Beyond the educational advantages, engaging in the arts offers essential social benefits, allowing children to express their unique individuality in a positive, productive, and enjoyable way.

History:

Renaissance Kids, Inc. was established in 2004 in Poughkeepsie,, NY, with a vision to create a comprehensive educational center where children could explore a variety of artistic and musical activities all under one roof. Starting as a small community-focused center, we are currently located on Route 44 in Pleasant Valley, and we have grown to become a vibrant hub for creativity, serving students ages 3 to adult.

Our founder’s commitment to quality education and the belief that every child benefits from studying art and music have been the driving forces behind our growth. Over the years, we have expanded our offerings to include year-round classes in art, music, and drama, private music lessons, summer and spring break camps, and daytime classes for homeschoolers. We’ve also established programs in academic subjects like science, math, and reading/writing to complement our arts curriculum.

From our beginnings in 2004 to the present day, we have remained committed to our core mission: to nurture each child’s personal and educational growth through the arts and to provide a positive, enjoyable environment where students can express their unique individuality.

As we continue to grow, Renaissance Kids, Inc. remains a proud member of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau, the National Guild of Piano Teachers, the Music Teachers National Association, and Arts Mid-Hudson, reflecting our ongoing commitment to excellence in education and community engagement.
