Renaissance Kids, Inc. was founded on the premise that all children derive educational and personal benefits from studying art and music.  Renaissance Kids is unique in that it affords students the opportunity to experience a variety of musical and artistic activities in one location.  Our location at the Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center gives our students the ability to utilize the recently restored, Victorian-style theater and the chance to view exhibits by local artists in the Center's galleries. 

     At Renaissance Kids, our goal is two-fold:  (1) to nurture each individual child's personal growth by cultivating an appreciation and working knowledge of the arts and (2) to give each child an "art experience" that can be used by him or her as a tool for learning and as a means of positive personal expression.

     We believe that the intellectual processes utilized in creating art and music have a catalytic effect upon learning in general, positively influencing a child's ability to study, concentrate, and problem solve.  Aside from the educational benefits, we believe that musical and artistic studies provide important social benefits.  By partaking in the arts, children enjoy a positive, productive, and enjoyable means by which to express their unique individuality.
